Ziva loves the snow, when we go out, she is always trying to veer away from me to walk in it. Nan came down for cookie baking and brought the girls these aprons, so cute! We made 85 Christmas Biscuits (soft sugar cookies) sort of by accident, halving that recipe next year! We made almost that many Hungarian Butter Cookies and a double batch of Molasses cookies. Elliet started first grade a few weeks ago. We were nervous about the big class and the long day but she is doing very well. We're not doing a whole lot right now. We go to the Y a couple times a week. Sometimes they go to childcare and sometimes we swim together. We've also had a few playdates with kids from Elliet's school. Ziva is incredibly active as usual and now rolls and scoots herself all over the place. She pushes up with her arms or propels herself with her legs but hasn't figured out how to work them

Last week we spent a few days in Lake Hope State Park for the Sabin family reunion. Close to 30 people in a big lodge that Elliet calls the "family hotel". Being without power forced us to find things to do outside the house...ALL DAY But the only thing worse than a playground is a crowded playground. We only stayed here for about fifteen minutes. To be fair, here's a picture taken two days prior. I wasn't really in the mood for playgrounds.

Here's a quick nibble for you, I know everyone's dying to see this new baby! Ziva Arie was born Wednesday 9/17 at 7:37pm after a 9am induction. She was face up so delivery was a little harder but not too bad. She was 8lbs 3.7oz and 22.25 inches long. She is doing GREAT. She's nursing really well and is very alert. The nurses commented that we needed to find a name that meant "bright eyes" because
